Employee Benefits Update
Presented by Lucas Murray, Attorney, Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.

Lucas Murray joined the law firm of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. in 2012 as a law clerk. A native of Canton, Ohio, Lucas was named an Associate of the firm after being admitted to practice law in May of 2015. He provides counsel and advice on current legal issues in the employee benefits area, including plan terminations, nondiscrimination rules for pension plans, health and welfare plans, cafeteria plans, and COBRA. Lucas has experience in the design of retirement plans, including defined benefit, profit sharing and 401(k) plans, as well as cafeteria plans, flexible spending plans, health reimbursement plans and dependent care plans. He also assists clients in developing employee benefit strategies for contract negotiations, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.

Lucas is a member of the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations and has written a number of published articles on employee benefit and corporate topics. He has a B.S. in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Akron and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law.

Stark County District Library’s Services, Initiatives and Events
Presented by Marianna DiGiacomo, Community Services Director, Stark County District Library

Marianna DiGiacomo is the Community Services Director for the Stark County District Library. The Stark County District Library, a winner of the National Medal for library service, is one of the best 100 libraries in the U.S. according to the HAPLR rating, and is a Library Journal Five Star library. Its Main Library, nine Branch Libraries, two Bookmobiles and two Kidmobiles serve 150,000 library card holders. More than 1.4 million people visit the Stark County District Library each year, holdings number 884,000 items, and annual circulation is 3.6 million items. The collection includes books, audio visual materials, and periodicals for all ages. In addition, the Library provides programs and classes for adults, teens, and children, computer and Internet access, a downloadable collection of books and music, genealogy services, traveling collections on Bookmobiles and Kidmobiles, as well as outreach services to shut-ins, nursing homes, and housing units. It is one of the nine largest library systems in the State of Ohio, serving 12 local school districts.

Marianna received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Akron and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Kent State University. She has served on committees and task forces for a number of organizations including the Ohio Library Council, American Heart Association, All-American Soap Box Derby and Canton Mayor's Literacy Commission.
